Looking for beta testers

Hi guys,
The game is getting very close to the beta phase right now, so I thought it would be a good time to start the beta tester sign up. Hopefully there are enough of you still reading this blog for us to get a nice beta testing league going.
If you have a bit of spare time in the upcoming weeks and you’d be interested in helping us out by playing the game and reporting problems, please send an e-mail to dan@johnwizard.com. I’m only accepting people who played Dawn’s Light so email me from the email you used to buy Dawn’s Light.
Keep in mind that being a beta tester may ruin the experience for some players. You may get stuck multiple times and have to wait for a new version or you might have to replay areas a few times over. You might also see some spoilers from later parts of the game. If you think this would annoy you then you should wait a few weeks for the game to be released.
I better get back to my 100 pages of bugs that I have to fix before beta.

Looking forward to it – and no worries, there is nothing keeping me from buying the final version, no matter how frustrating beta-testing might be. The good thing about your games is that they are perfect for replay, there is always something funny and hilarious to find which you overlooked the first time.

I would love to be a beta tester but… well…
*sigh* We have Lunar new year festival here in our country, and I have to run back and forth to my kin and friends’ houses to visit them — or just to show them my face *for the purpose of leting them know “I still remember you, take good care of me this year too” *
It’s a traditional thing, and if I dont do this every year, they would say that I’m cold-hearted. I will probably not free for the next 2 weeks…

Oooooh what bad timing! I’m still up to my neck in writing walkthroughs for Asguaard and Aveyond The Lost Orb. HOWEVER, if I finish those before the beta testing ends, I would loooooove to help out again if you can still use me!

I can’t help you with the beta-testing but if you want I can help you with the game translation. If you want to sell you game in more than one idiom I can help you for free. .. Sadly I only know Spanish.
Same here, as Malvodion. I might welcome to beta test some other game, but I want to play this one so much as a whole, that I will skip on it.
However, if you’d like to get that multilingual game development going, you also have yourself a Hungarian translator
Count me in as a Vietnamese translator if you ever need. Multi language’s a great idea though I think it will be complicated. RPGs are not wide known in our country — most people who know and play RPGs usually are pretty good at English anyway.
Thanks for the translation offers but there’s a few things that would get in the way of it being successful.
There’s a lot of text in this game, not just dialogue either. It really would be a huge job to translate it all and of course I would never expect anybody to do it for free.
Then there’s the support and marketing. Even if the game was fully translated I wouldn’t be able to effectively market the game and if somebody did buy it I wouldn’t be able to offer any support if something goes wrong or they get stuck.
I really do appreciate the offers though.

This test was for Lilly and Sasha that just came out. I’ll have to update this post so it shows that info.
We’ll eventually have another beta test but we don’t have anything ready yet.
